Protean Series™ Data Receptacles

Single or Multi-Gang


Protean Series™ Data Receptacles are easy to configure to suit your needs.

INSTALLATION

INITIAL INSTALLATION

Step 1: locate where the receptacle is to be mounted. Cut a 4” vertical & 2” horizontal hole. For multiple devices cut an additional adjoining 4”x2” hole for each device.
Step 2: Insert desired cabling into the wall.
Step 3: Insert keystone which corresponds to the cabling being used into the device body & connect the cable.
Step 4: Rotate the clips vertical, insert the device into the hole and tighten the screw until the device is secure.
Step 5: For multiple gang installations, begin with a left-side receptacle, add as many center pieces as needed & finish with a right-side receptacle.

UPGRADE INSTALLATION

Step 1: Remove the right-side piece by loosening the screw & pulling out by the flange.
Step 2: Cut an additional adjoining 4”x2” hole for each device
Step 3: Insert keystone which corresponds to the cabling being used into the device body & connect the cable.
Step 4: Rotate the clips vertical, insert the device into the hole and tighten the screw until the device is secure, & finish with a right-side receptacle.

EXISTING PLASTIC RING OR BOX

Step 1: Remove the clips.
Step 2: Install as a traditional receptacle.
